As Sales Manager of our Foam & Residential Techs Department, you are responsible for:

  • all the sales activities of Kaneka’s Foam & Residential Techs
  • actively supporting the General Manager FRTSV in the setting up of the division's long-term strategic options in terms of production technology, product diversification options and market coverage. This supporting action involves the contacts and knowledge of other related Kaneka affiliates' activities globally.
  • maintaining customer relations, turning new developments to customer needs, detecting new needs in the market, and negotiate prices. Internal reporting and presenting these data to colleagues and management are among the daily tasks.
  • planning and directing the hiring and training of new team members (Assistant Marketing Manager, Technical Service Specialists) together with the technical department. Managing and following-up our agents network.
  • sales budgets, forecasts, statistics,....

You work from our office in Oevel–Westerlo, but the function requires regular business trips to customers all over Europe.

Your profile

  • You hold a master’s degree in Sciences or Engineering Technology or Civil Engineer
  • A minimum of 10 years of sales experience, preferably within the chemical process industry.
  • Knowledge of the car industry and/or plastics industry and related technologies would be a plus.
  • You have strong (sales) management skills, strong knowledge of negotiation and sales promotion and you are able to set up business plans.
  • You are used to working within a management team, leading teams and you have good people management skills.
  • You are fluent in English and Dutch, other languages like German and French are an asset.
